From the historic heart of Srinagar to the orchards of Arihal, our story is one of family, stewardship and a lasting connection to the land.
Across generations, the Qazi family has carried forward a tradition of principle and enterprise. Today, that heritage lives on through Qazi Orchards LLP.

01 / A heritage of principle
From jurists to a living legacy.
Srinagar, Kashmir Our family’s account of its beginnings
Qazi Musa Al-Sayyid (Qazi Musa Shaheed)
Our family traces its lineage to Qazi Musa Al-Sayyid, the 16th-century Qazi-ul-Quzat, or Chief Justice, of Kashmir. A member of the Bukhari Sayyid family of jurists, he is remembered in our family history for his scholarship, civic dedication and service to the community.
The family account recalls his leadership in bringing the community together to complete the roofing of Srinagar’s Jamia Masjid in one year.
1586
Our history remembers his refusal to alter the traditional Azaan at the command of Sultan Yaqub Shah Chak, and his subsequent martyrdom, as an enduring example of conviction.
His resting place, the Mazar-i-Qazi Musa Shaheed in Srinagar’s historic Malkha Graveyard, remains a place of remembrance in the family’s story.

The transition to Arihal
Lass Qazi
Also known as Lassa Qazi
Lass Qazi bridged the family’s urban roots in Maharaj Gunj with its country lands in Arihal. He managed both the Srinagar connection and the acquisition and consolidation of the family’s agricultural estate.
In the family’s account, this transition unfolded over generations, as scholarly and administrative families established agrarian estates in the southern plains of Kashmir.
